My favourite book to row so far has been Jesse Bear What Will You Wear. We really enjoyed rowing this one. It was also one of the first few that we rowed so we definitely look back with great fondness on this book. I love the rhyming rhythm.

Thanks so much for your generosity this week. I love having my own copies of books to read over and over and over. We currently use the library to row, but having copies would be fantastic!

Poetry has been a tough one in our house. It took my boys Forever to understand rhyming words. Thanks to a lot of games and Dr. Seuss they are starting to get it. I found a neat set of word magnets, and now we they up silly poems on the refridgerator.

We are currently rowing Night of the Moonjellies! My daughter ADORES learning about the jellies and I love the artwork in the book. I’m super excited to try drawing with the pastels!

This is my first year of rowing. I have almost 2 year old twins and a pre-k aged daughter that is super inquisitive and I just want to be able to keep up with her, while instilling a lifelong love of learning.

We will start our 1st official row tomorrow with Storm in the Night. We have too many favorites. I think if I ever decided to get rid of FIAR there would be a revolt at my house, LOL.

I have to say Ping. Honestly, our homeschooling journey last year was so filled with resistance, tears, and heartache from one child in particular, that I will remember Ping as the week that my son was so happy to learn. It was truly an AHA! moment. Thank you!

We loved Ping. It has been a favorite of mine and now we have rowed it twice, once with my dd who is now 19 and recently with our younger guys.

New to the homeschooling journey, so still figuring out what works for us; but I’ve heard such great things about FIAR that we’re considering it as an option for our family.

Oh, it is hard to pick a favorite!! Maybe A Pair of Red Clogs, but Papa Piccolo is a favorite as is The Story of Ping. Such goodness!

The Story Of Ping has been a family favorite! We still quote parts of the book! We will never forget the yellow Yangtze River! Or listening to the voice of your parents! It’s such a great book to promote good character in children and discuss so many applicable scriptures about discipline and walking in the light. It was our first book so it also holds fond memories!

I just checked out FIAR from lib. I love the whole idea my 1st grader is fighting reading almost as if she is afraid so I really think this will help her. Really would like to get FIAR for her.

We’ve just started, so we’ve only rowed Storm in the Night and Ping. My daughter was afraid of Storm in the Night (but after five readings, we had a storm on Saturday and she listened with her older brother and sister during the thunder and didn’t seem scared at all!), so I think our favorite so far is Ping. Can’t wait to discover more treasures!

We have really enjoyed using FIAR. Very Last First Time had us a bit breathless and led to great discussions on fear. Night of the Moonjellies has our favorite illustrations. Thank you.
