    I have not tried teaching poetry yet…my kids are only 3,2,and 5wks.

    I read poems to my little one and break the verses up into smaller sections and have her repeat back to me.

    We read poems together, then try to write our own using one style we’ve studied such as cinquain.

    I haven’t started teaching poetry to my 4 year old, but I’m sure she’ll be introduced to it this year through BFIAR 😉
