A great book I found to go with Katy is Boing by Nick Bruel. A Mommy kangeroo is trying to teach the baby to jump. He keeps failing even though he is shown how by a frog, rabbit and grasshopper. Finally a wise koala asks him "what's in your pocket?" He empties it and has a huge assortment of things. Then he is able to jump. The final page is a big pop up of the baby jumping. It's a great book for the 2-3 yr old because it's simple, few words and really fun. The page with all the stuff from his pocket is great....we spent awhile searching for all the things mentioned.
Afterwards we played a jumping game. I had the boys see how high and far they could jump. Then we put pillows on the floor to see if they could jump over one or two or how many. I even let them jump over me. (But not the baby as requested. ) They did jumping jacks. It was a lot of fun and also a good way to get out some energy on a snowy cold winter day.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Any book with the name of Boing would be a ton of fun for my kids!
![]() Reminds me of when my kids did Katy, we had sack races down the hallway with pillow cases! Fun times!
